Terms of use
The rules of the house.
Short, and they matter.
Games2Test sells playtest campaigns to studios. A studio buys seats from us. We select qualified contributors, collect the reports, and reward those contributors after review. These Terms are the contract between you and us.

01Who we are
Games2Test is the service at https://games2test.com. Questions about these Terms: hello@games2test.com.
We sell a user-research service to studios and reward independent contributors. We are not a bank, a payment institution, an escrow agent, a marketplace of freelancers, or your employer.
02What the service is
A studio buys a campaign from Games2Test. Contributors qualify once, book a seat, play the build, and are rewarded after review. The contributor is not selling a service to the studio.
Money paid by a studio sits on the platform’s Stripe balance. Earnings are pending, then approved, then paid. Paid means we sent a Stripe Transfer to the contributor’s recipient account after validation. That is not a wallet and not a bank deposit. The bank payout follows Stripe’s timetable for the connected account.
- Studios pay Games2Test through Stripe Checkout. Using Checkout does not, by itself, make Games2Test the merchant of record. That status depends on the Stripe account, the contract with Stripe, and the legal entity that operates the service.
- We do not hold a withdrawable balance for contributors.
- A refund from us does not automatically reverse a transfer already sent to a contributor.
03Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. Testers who want to be paid must complete Stripe’s identity checks. Stripe may refuse a country or a person. We cannot override that.
If you use Games2Test for a studio, you confirm you have authority to bind that studio.
04Your account
You can sign in with email, Google, or Discord. Keep your login to yourself. The display name you choose is visible to studios and testers who need to work with you.
You may unlock both the creator and tester paths on the same account. Admin access is never self-serve.
05If you are a creator
You are responsible for the game you publish: the build, the licence to test it, age ratings, and anything testers will see. Access keys, private URLs and build codes stay off the public catalogue. A tester sees them only after booking a seat.
Seats, pay, duration, platform, language and questionnaire stay locked after payment so testers keep the brief they booked. You can close remaining seats. You cannot quietly change the deal under a reserved tester.
Paying publishes the campaign. If you buy as a consumer, you ask us to start that digital service immediately and you lose the 14-day withdrawal right for that order, except where a refund is still available under the refund rules below.
06If you are a tester
Qualification is unpaid. It is how we see that you can play, talk about what you see, and file a short report. We may accept, ask for changes, or refuse a sample.
A reserved seat has a deadline. If you miss it, the seat can expire and go back to the pool. Submit a complete report: the answers asked, and a session video.
You take part as an independent contributor, not as an employee of Games2Test or of the studio. Rewards may be taxable income. You remain responsible for tax, social, registration and reporting duties in your country of residence.
That clause does not remove Games2Test’s own duties. We still handle identity checks through Stripe, keep payment records, and will meet platform reporting rules such as DAC7 or equivalents when they apply.
07Unreleased games
Playtests often involve builds that are not public. If you are a tester you will see keys, briefs, and footage that are not yours to share.
- Do not post access keys, private links, or build codes.
- Do not publish session videos, screenshots, or spoilers outside Games2Test.
- Do not keep a copy of the build after the mission ends, unless the creator says you may.
- Do not attack, scrape, or reverse-engineer a build beyond ordinary play.
The creator remains the owner of the game. You get a limited right to play it for that mission.
08Reports, videos and licences
You keep whatever rights you already have in your written answers and your video. You give Games2Test and the relevant creator a licence to store, watch, and use that report to improve the game and run the platform.
Qualification samples may also be reviewed by administrators and, when configured, by an automated model. We do not sell your videos as stock footage.
Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not include other people’s personal data unless they agreed.
09Payments, refunds and Connect
Studios pay through Stripe Checkout. Prices shown before payment include contributor rewards for the seats you buy and the platform’s cut. We keep our commission by transferring less than we collected — we do not take a separate application fee on top of the transfer.
Contributors set up a Stripe Connect recipient account (Accounts v2, hosted onboarding) in their country of residence. After a report is validated, we send a Transfer there. Bank arrival depends on Stripe, not on a withdraw button in Games2Test. Some countries can create an account but cannot receive payouts yet.
Unused seats can be refunded by an administrator when no complete, validated report is attached to them. A seat that has already been paid out to a tester is not refunded by reversing that payout. If we ever refund a creator after a transfer, that is a platform decision, not an automatic right.
10What we will not host
We can close a campaign, refuse a qualification, cancel a reservation, or suspend an account when this line is crossed. If you need to report something illegal on the platform, write to hello@games2test.com.
- Illegal content, hate, or sexual content involving minors.
- Harassment of testers, creators, or staff.
- Fake reports, empty videos, or attempts to collect pay without doing the work.
- Circumventing Stripe, creating multiple accounts to game seats, or scraping the service.
11Automated qualification review
New tester samples may be read by an automated reviewer (currently Google Gemini, through Vercel’s AI Gateway). Clear accepts and refuses can happen without a person in the loop. Doubt goes to an administrator.
This only decides whether you can book paid missions on Games2Test. It is not a credit score and not employment screening. If you want a human look, write to hello@games2test.com.
12Availability
We aim to keep the site working. We do not promise uninterrupted access, and we may change features as the product grows. Stored reports and videos remain available to the people who need them for a campaign, subject to the Privacy Policy.
13Liability
The platform is provided as is. We do not guarantee that a playtest will make a game better, that a tester will like a build, or that Stripe will pay out in every country.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including fraud, or death or injury caused by negligence.
Creators remain responsible for their games. Testers remain responsible for how they play and what they submit.
14Closing an account
You can ask us to close your account by writing to hello@games2test.com. We will stop new use of the account. Records we must keep for payments, disputes, or the law can stay, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account if these Terms are broken, if Stripe closes a connected account, or if we have to by law.
15Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence. Courts in France hear disputes that cannot be settled by writing to us first.
16Changes
We may update these Terms when the product changes. The date at the top is the latest version. If a change is material we will say so on the site or by email. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy sit alongside this document.
